Mobile money betting sites in Ghana: one prompt, three networks, cedi limits and payouts

Mobile money betting sites in Ghana run the deposit the same way whichever network you hold. Open the cashier, choose MTN Mobile Money, Telecel Cash or AT Money, enter the number and the amount, and submit. A prompt arrives on that phone within seconds; approve it with your MoMo PIN and the balance updates when the network confirms. When a cap gets in the way

• A deposit above BetWinner's GH₵5,000 cap has to go as more than one prompt.
• A withdrawal above the GH₵10,000 cap has to go as more than one request, each with its own approval.
• Your own wallet has a balance cap and a daily cap set by the Bank of Ghana tiers; each network page gives the figures.

Three things sit between the request and that SMS. The Ghana Card check comes first; a licensed operator compares the name on the card, the account and the MoMo registration. • Debited but not credited: check the balance and the reference, then send the reference to the site's support.
• Prompt expired: an expired prompt should not debit the wallet; check the balance and the reference before resending.
• Wrong number: contact your network at once, because the bookmaker cannot pull back a payment it never received.

The prompt is the same on every network. What changes is the menu on your own line, the fees your network charges at the agent and the name the cashier prints. The three figures that bind a betting payout are the same everywhere, because the Bank of Ghana set the wallet tiers for every issuer at once. They are GH₵5,000 balance and GH₵3,000 a day on the minimum tier, GH₵40,000 and GH₵15,000 on medium, GH₵75,000 and GH₵25,000 on enhanced.
