Stake gives Ghana punters a cedi card cashier beside its crypto wallets. Stake's help centre lists GHS among its local currencies, with Visa and Mastercard deposits and withdrawals from GH₵30 to GH₵10,000. Those sit next to the Bitcoin, Ethereum and USDT wallets the site is known for. MoMo is not on that list. Its sportsbook covers football, basketball, tennis and esports with cash out, and the casino carries Stake's own Originals. There is no deposit bonus; the welcome offer is 3.5% rakeback, unlocked by a code typed in within 24 hours of signing up. The licence is from Curaçao, not Accra.

Verdict

Stake in short: cedi cards, rakeback and a wide book

Stake suits a Ghana punter who holds a Visa or Mastercard debit card, or some crypto. It rewards you with a small return on every bet rather than a deposit match with 40x strings. Pass if MoMo is your only way to pay or if you want an APK. Anyone expecting a big welcome bonus should look elsewhere: the code gives rakeback, not free money.

Best for

Card or crypto punters who want a wide sportsbook, cash out and a cedi route without a locked bonus.

Think twice if

MoMo is your only cashier, you want an Android APK, or you expect a matched deposit bonus.

What we like

  • GHS deposits and withdrawals by Visa or Mastercard, GH₵30 to GH₵10,000
  • Crypto withdrawals have no maximum, and cash out is offered on selected markets
  • Welcome rakeback has no wagering attached

Watch out for

  • No MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money route is listed
  • Cedi deposits must be wagered 100% before a withdrawal
  • No Android APK or App Store app

Score breakdown

Stake scores: strong on markets, held back by MoMo's absence

The five available scores are Ghana Betting Tips’ editorial assessments of published product information. Odds and margins remain unscored until a matched price comparison is available. Stake has no odds score, so its 7.2 is the weighted average of the other five criteria.

  1. Odds and margins

    —

Stake has not been rated for odds and margins because we have not published a timestamped, like-for-like bookmaker price sample. Market counts, sports coverage and accumulator promotions do not demonstrate lower margins or better odds.

  2. Payout speed

    8.2out of 10

Crypto withdrawals have a minimum and a fee per coin and no maximum, with Bitcoin from 0.00002504 BTC and USDT from 2.5 USDT. Card withdrawals in cedis go back to the deposit card and can take up to 3 business days to reach the bank. Stake's help centre gives no processing time for crypto.

  3. Bonuses and terms

    5.8out of 10

There is no deposit match. The welcome offer is 3.5% rakeback, the Bronze VIP rate, unlocked by a code within 24 hours of registration. Existing players get a monthly bonus, a weekly raffle and a daily race. Clear terms, modest value.

Rank 121.1 below the average of 6.915% weight

  4. Mobile experience

    6.4out of 10

Stake has no Android APK or App Store app. Its pages describe adding the site to your home screen from the browser, which works on any phone but is not an APK install.

Rank 90.7 below the average of 7.115% weight

  5. Markets, live betting and games

    8.8out of 10

Sportsbook and casino on one account, in-play markets with cash out, Stake Originals and live dealer tables. Cash out drops off same game multis and markets without live odds.

Rank 20.7 above the average of 8.115% weight

  6. Payments for Ghanaian punters

    6.6out of 10

A GHS card route runs from GH₵30 in and out, and crypto deposits have no fee from Stake. Stake's cashier pages list no MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money route, and cedi deposits must be wagered 100% before a withdrawal, which holds the score back.

About the scores

Bonus

Stake welcome offer: 3.5% rakeback, not a deposit match

Stake's welcome offer is not a deposit bonus. It unlocks rakeback, the return of part of the house edge on every bet, at the 3.5% rate normally reserved for Bronze VIP members. To get it, open Offers in your account settings and enter a valid code within 24 hours of creating the account. After that window the field closes. Live chat can still help, but only if you registered through a code in the first place.

Rakeback pays whether the bet wins or loses. Stake's own example: 1 BTC wagered on a game with a 2% house edge returns 0.0007 BTC. On the same formula, GH₵1,000 of bets on a 2% edge game works out at GH₵0.70. It is a trickle, not a bonus, and it has no wagering attached.

The promotions article lists the rest. There is a monthly bonus for eligible players and a weekly raffle with a ticket for every $1,000 wagered across casino and sportsbook. A $100K race runs over 24 hours for the top 5,000 racers, and level-up and birthday bonuses and community drop codes round it off. None is a first-deposit match. Compare it with the matched offers on the welcome offers section of the ranking before you choose on bonus alone.

The Ghana Betting Tips ranking

Cedi cards

Stake cedi deposits: GH₵30 by Visa or Mastercard, no MoMo

The GHS row in Stake's local currency table is the detail to read first. You open Wallet, choose Deposit, then Local Currency, then Debit/Credit Card, pick GHS and pay from GH₵30 up to GH₵10,000 per transaction. Stake says the deposit is processed in near real time, with one to three business days possible in some cases.

The card is also the way back out. Withdrawals in cedis run from GH₵30 to GH₵10,000 and return to the card that funded the account. Stake allows up to 3 business days for the money to reach your bank. Deposit only in crypto and the card option stays shut.

What the table leaves out is as important. No MoMo prompt, no Telecel Cash, no AT Money and no Ghana bank transfer appear. Every cedi deposit must be wagered in full before a withdrawal under clause 8.5 of Stake's terms. A GH₵200 deposit means GH₵200 of settled bets before that money can leave. The payment methods page lists the sites that do take MoMo.

Deposits and withdrawals

Stake deposits and withdrawals: GHS cards and crypto wallets

Stake's local currency article carries a table of currencies, and Ghana has a row: GHS, 30 to 10,000, Visa and Mastercard both marked available. Deposits are processed in near real time, with one to three business days possible in some cases. The card withdrawal article shows the same GH₵30 to GH₵10,000 range, going back only to the card you deposited with, and up to 3 business days to reach your bank.

Two rules sit behind that cedi route. Card withdrawals are open only to accounts that deposited by card. Every local currency deposit has to be wagered 100% before you can withdraw, under clause 8.5 of the terms. The help centre names no MoMo, Telecel Cash or AT Money route.

Crypto is the other half. Deposits move wallet to wallet on the networks Stake lists, and withdrawals have a per-coin minimum and fee: 0.00002504 BTC for Bitcoin, 2.5 USDT for Tether, with no maximum. The paying-in section of the ranking covers the coin routes, and the payout section of the ranking compares stated times.

Welcome code

Stake welcome code: 24 hours to switch on 3.5% rakeback

Stake's welcome offer runs on a code, and the clock is the trap. The code must be entered within 24 hours of opening the account, through the Offers tab in account settings. Miss the window and the field locks; Stake's article says live chat can still help only if you originally signed up through a code.

The reward is the Bronze VIP rakeback rate of 3.5% of the house edge on every bet, win or lose, from day one. Rakeback at Stake is otherwise a VIP perk that unlocks as you climb levels, so the code is a head start rather than a gift.

Be careful where the code comes from. Codes posted in Telegram groups that also sell sure odds or fixed-match tips are bait. Any site that asks for your Stake password to apply one is a phishing page. Enter the code yourself, inside your own account, and nowhere else. For how matched bonuses compare, read the welcome offers section of the ranking.

App

Stake app for Ghana: add to home screen, no APK

There is no Stake APK and no Stake app in the App Store or Google Play. The route Stake describes on its app page is the browser: open stake.com on your phone and use Add to Home Screen. The icon then behaves like an app, with login, deposits and bets inside it. It works on an Android phone on a small data bundle as well as on an iPhone.

That has a safety side. A file called Stake APK that lands in a WhatsApp group did not come from Stake, and installing it hands your login and one-time codes to a stranger. The same goes for a Stake Ghana app advertised on social media.

Type stake.com yourself or use a bookmark, and switch on two-factor authentication once you are in. A link that arrives in a message is not the way to reach your account. The betting apps section of the ranking covers brands that do ship an Android install.

Licence

Is Stake legal in Ghana? Medium Rare N.V. and the Curaçao licence

Stake does not appear on the Gaming Commission of Ghana's licensed operators register for 2026. Its terms of service state that stake.com is owned and operated by Medium Rare N.V., a Curaçao company. They quote a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence, OGL/2024/1451/0918, with Curaçao law governing the agreement. That is an offshore licence.

Ghana is not on the list of restricted countries in Stake's terms. So the site opens, and the cedi row in its cashier table shows it expects players from Ghana. Availability is not the same as a Ghana licence, and a complaint has no Accra regulator to go to.

Practical steps follow from that. Register in the name on your Ghana Card, deposit only from a card in that name, and keep your own copies of bonus terms and transaction history. Keep your Ghana Card ready in case Stake asks for documents. The licensing section of the ranking lists the brands on the Ghana register.

Stake's casino is compared with the licensed ones on the online casinos in Ghana page, and its cedi card route on the deposit methods page. The betting site guides index holds every list.

FAQ

Stake Ghana: cedi, code and app questions

Is Stake allowed in Ghana?

The Gaming Commission of Ghana register does not list Stake. It operates under a Curaçao Gaming Authority licence held by Medium Rare N.V., and Ghana is not on its restricted-country list. The site opens, but no Ghana regulator stands behind it.

Does Stake accept MoMo or cedis?

Cedis yes, MoMo no. Stake's help centre lists GHS deposits and withdrawals by Visa or Mastercard from GH₵30 to GH₵10,000. MTN MoMo, Telecel Cash and AT Money do not appear in its cashier articles.

Does Stake give a welcome bonus in Ghana?

There is no deposit match. A welcome code entered within 24 hours of registration unlocks 3.5% rakeback, the Bronze VIP rate, on every bet. It pays win or lose and has no wagering attached.

How long does a Stake card withdrawal take in Ghana?

Card withdrawals in cedis go back to the deposit card and can take up to 3 business days to reach your bank, Stake says. Crypto withdrawals carry a per-coin minimum and fee; Stake gives no processing time for them.

Is there a Stake app for Android or iPhone?

No APK and no store app. Stake describes adding the site to your phone's home screen from the browser. Any Stake APK shared in a group chat is not from Stake.

Does Stake have a sportsbook?

Yes. Stake runs a sportsbook with singles, multis and same game multis on football, basketball, tennis, esports and more, with cash out on selected markets. A casino with its own Originals sits on the same account.

The bottom line

Stake from Ghana: the bottom line on cards and crypto

Stake is a crypto site a Ghana punter can fund with a bank card in cedis, from GH₵30, and get paid back to that card. Take it for the sportsbook range and the rakeback, not for a welcome bonus, and remember the 100% wagering on cedi deposits before any withdrawal. MoMo is not listed as an option here. Betting is for adults aged 18 and over; bet only money you can lose.
